| I think poker is popular beause money is at stake in this game. And when money is involved, alot of people play it. And its actually popular because of the "addicts" they keep coming back for more, thinking they can gain money, but really, their losing it all in the end. |

| I think that the recent rise in poker popularity is something to do with the amount of coverage that it has received from TV and the press. If people see things on TV they often like to try it out, that's the way it works with TV. Another reason that it has become so popular is because it has become so easy to find people to play with via the internet. |
