Most of the gamblers that go to casinos, when they win, they keep on playing because they want to win more and when they lose, they still keep on playing to get back the loss that they have made. IMO, they stop playing when there is nothing to bet anymore. Smile

Yeah thats what i said many times before and it should be your nubmber one priority. But to most people, they seem confused as for "how much" they can afford to lose.

When you go to a casino only bring a certain amount with you. For example only go with $40, when you have lost that money stop, don't bet anymore. Some people don't know when to stop when their winning either. I would usually stop when I'm between doubling and tripling my money.

I will often go with an idea in my mind of how much money I would like to come home with. Say I go with $30 I might say once I reach $50 I will stop and come away from the table.

You should always think about what you would be happy to win and how much you can afford to lose. As has been said already in the this thread never go with money you can't afford to lose and even worse never gamble with money from credit cards etc. as it's probably the worst from of funding a gamble there is you will lose twice over.

I know most people go for a little fun (I include myself in that) but don't be foolish with your hard earned cash set your limits before you go and stick to them it will be a lot more fun that way Smile

I like to play with around $100 usually and I like to quit if I turn the $100 into $300. Having said that I have been sat with $250 and quit because I was getting a bad run started.

As long as you don't carry on for to long when you’re winning and you don't dip back in the wallet once you lose your stake its fine.

Good advice Oliver. Whenever I'm in a casino, I leave the wallet at home and carry cash with me. Not the wisest of moves when out and about, but I prefer to leave the temptation to keep playing at home or in the hotel.

On a good night, I'm happy to double up and walk away, though I always have the urge to stay and try and make even more. It's times like that willpower is essential.

That’s a good idea to leave the credit cards at home or in the hotel Very Happy
I've actually got much better at maintaining my discipline over the years but I wish I'd had that tip a few years back it might have saved me heaps of money Very Happy
